I want to let you know about a unique opportunity at our Highland Campus services this weekend (January 3rd and 4th). We're going to be hosting Zondervan Publishing's Bible Across America tour. To celebrate the 30th anniversary of the NIV Bible, they are travelling by RV all across America to invite people to contribute to a completely handwritten Bible – America's NIV – that will eventually be sold in retail stores and online. Their tents will be set up outside the back foyer for all Highland services, and everyone will be invited to write a verse for this historic Bible. There is no age limit!

Snow Patrol

I woke up to felipe martinez (my dog) barking like crazy....I was screamin at him to shut up and then my wife got up to beat him for being a crackhead and then she started screaming, "its snowing...its snowing!!!" In my 27yrs I have never seen this much snow in BATON ROUGE!!! Absolutely amazing! Thank you mr. felipe martinez for being the real snow patrol.

Amplified 09'

I'm pretty excited about Amplified 2009!!! In the past we have never opened up this conference to other churches but we really felt God nudging us to create an enviroment where we could blur the lines of denomination and church names!! We have some other great churches coming to be a part and we know God is gonna do some awesome things!! Last year God dropped the bomb on us and we know that He has something special for us for 2009. The prayer that we are praying is that God would amplify the cries of broken,hurting,lost,forgotten people in our hearts...that their cries would disturb us in our indifference and apathy...that we would be moved to irrational outburst of love that bring help and hope. The weekend is jammed packed so u don't want to miss it!! Charity
