Hurricane Gustav

As a staff we are getting geared up for this weekend and beggining of next week as thousands of people will be evacuating new orleans and potential impact areas due to hurricane Gustav. Moments like these always present a great oppurtunity for us to step up and really be the Church!!! To find out ways to help in our efforts you can check out healingplacechurch.org.

HPC Gameplan: Donaldsonville Dream Center (West Campus) is working w/ The Department of Homeland Security and is set to be shelters. BRDC (Winbourne) is making preparations now to assist nursing home and elderly. Our Highland Campus will serve as a Rest Stop for those traveling on I-10 out of New Oreleans and it’s surrounding areas . Our St. Francisville Campus (West Feliciana Middle School) may be open as shelter if needed. Cooking for Christ Team (CFC) is prepared to cook. Both of HPC’s mobile medical units are poised and ready to roll into the community to offer aid. Evacuation contra-flow is scheduled for Sunday at 6am. Church services will continue to meet this weekend.

Falling in Love

About 11 yrs ago this is where Jennifer "fell" in love with me. She was in 8th grade and I was in 10th and we were students at Christian Life Academy. Well, one day down this hall I was flirting with her and following (not stalking) her down the hall and for some reason I decided to try and kick the bottom of her shoe as she took a step so that she would take a super step but it didn't work out exactly as I thought. She tripped, went flying thru the air and with her thumbs tucked behind her booksack straps on her shoulders preoccupying her hands she hand nothing to break her fall but her face...OUCH!!!!! O ya, she had braces on her grill so her lips got busted...she started crying. Her lips started bleading and I took off running! So there you have it, that's the story of how jennifer my beautiful wife fell in love with me 11 yrs ago. (Fellas I don't suggest this method)

Navigate/Saturate graduation

Me and the jr.high pastor, brotha T had to pick up some tux's for our graduation for our 123 summer interns......should be a fun night and as long as tyler covers that beastly chest it wont get that scary!!!
