Charity

"Charities can easily become our brokers to the poor....the danger is that we never know the poor....there's never a connection made and yet we feel ok with it b/c our charity eases and appeases our conscience and we go about our life w/ a masked sense of service to those He loves so much.

Good stuff. I like to call it drive by giving, quick easy and painless. The problem is when you don't spend time with people, see their lives, get to know them, you don't really love them like Jesus did. He ate with them, touched them, and told us to visit them not just throw money at their needs. Imagine if every Christian we knew did something to change the lives of the poor.
